I have a candy cane coral which has given birth to a kenya tree with a clove polyp below it and many mroe on the branches. Recently however, there has been these yellowish growths on a branching arm on the candy cane. They seem to have a concave shape and i am unaware of what they are. good or bad?

    heres a pic...

picture is too bright. bring down the light and increase the contrast so we can see what you are talking about.

yeah, thanks perculator. Makes my life much easier. But no ID's eh?
Now im confused whether or not its a trumpet or candy cane. Was sold to me at a LFS as CC but I swear this guy at the LFS is on drugs all the time. I visit once a week for fun and he acts like he never recognizes me. anyways.

    ID PLEASE?

Yeah, candy canes or trumpet corals is six or a half dozen. It's just a common name - maybe coralreefer can tell you the scientific name since he's into that stuff. Many people that work at LFS are on drugs, but claim they should be legalized. Heck you may even run into Marc Emery up in your neck of the woods.

I think thats a candy cane, Trumpet corals are packed together, they look tight and cozy. Candy cane go where ever they want like the picture shown above.
