so 3days ago i bought a healthy young yellow tang. i drip acclimated it for a hour and added it to the tank. he has been hiding ever since got him. other fish in my tank are 2 clowns, watchman goby, purple firefish and a coral beauty. i dont see anything picking on him either. is this normal? he did eat some algae sheet that i put behind the rocks yest.

tangs can be a bit of a shy stressful fish when first added. how big is he in relation to your other fish? id say , just make sure he gets those veggies and im sure soon he wil lfeel comfortable and come out regularily for your enjoyment.

well guys and girls my yellow tang did not make it. it really sucks because it is one of my favorite fish and i wish i could keep one. i tried a baby hippo tang about 3 months ago and it lasted about 3 days also. i think i am going to ban the tang species in my tank until i upgrade one day. but it still makes me wonder why is everything doing so good but tangs?? any other sugg for another fish i could put in. im gunna wait a month or two but i would like another addition.

sometimes the tank is just not mature enough... just give it time and it will prolly be okay in the future
