The Fish looks pretty skinny to me, like it has an internal parasite. You say it's eating but if there are intestinal worms the fish isn't getting the nutrients. The fin is the least of it's worries, IMO. You can get some Metronidizole from your LFS or On-line and (this is important) feed it to the fish. Here's how I do it:

    1) Thaw out 2 Cubes of Emerald Entree (because it has vegetable matter and is "mushy)
    2) Add two doses of Metronidizole to the food (Seachem's version has a measuring spoon and I use two spoonfuls).
    3) Mix well in a small container and refrigerate for two hours.
    4) Feed the fish a small amount daily for 2 weeks.

After this you should see the fish fatten up a little (and the fin will probably grow back too). This fish is sick and you should act quickly.

The thread is from 2009, so I don't know if a bump is appropriate.

What do you mean by your tank looks the same? That first post is kinda long lol.

Well I figured it's better than starting a new thread. I mean my tang looks the same as that tang.

The fins are turning white, translucent. Noticed it today. It's not a stress issue. She's been in the tank a month. Params seem fine. 0-s across the board. I'm guessing parasite.
