I am curious. i bought this yellow frogspawn a little while back and it has one head, but also three empty spots on the skeleton. will it grow into those spots or will it split and/or grow elsewhere?

i think it will just split and grow from what's already alive. coral are like jelly fish except that they secret calcium shells, the bone isn't actually part of the polyp itself

Thanks. I guess then it may not make it to the empty spot thats a bit far away, but it could maybe fill the spot that is right next to it. thats kind of a bummer i quess. those empty spots are an eye sore

Looks like there are still a few polyps on that head on the left. It may grow back or it may be dying off still.

Yeah i had hoped so. that was a picture of it right after i got it. those little spots of yellow are gone now. but the main head of it looks even better. so i was disappointed but no worries. ;D I have heard that these good yellows are a bit hard to find so im anxious to see it fill out. the picture doesnt do the color justice
