So i have a 8" derasa clam, has always had good mantle extension, and there is tons of new growth to the shell since i bought it. But now recently i moved a coral that my clown goby was perching on and he has started to perch on my clam! He will go swim to it when it is extended, then the clam will close up, then he leaves! Its like as soon as he sees the clam is open he goes down to it! It is really annoying me. I am worried if this will affect my clam negatively? I have seen clams hosted by fish before but my clam does not seem to be 2 fond of it. What can i do? Should i just remove the clown goby? I do feel like he adds character to the tank so if it wont hurt the clam then i would like to keep him. Maybe i will replace his coral perch? Any ideas or thoughts would be great!
