Im pretty sure keeping a yellow assessor with a royal gramma in a 90 is a no go, but just double checking. Is there anything related to a royal gramma that could live in this tank with it?

Well if it helps any I have two royal grammas in my 90 gallon. They love and hate each other but they are inseparable. They are always together from one end of the tank to the other. Petshop warned me that my newly purchased orchid dottyback will "war" with the royal gramma but in fact they both ignore each other passing around and eating together peacefully. Fishes can be unpredictably silly :)

BUT, I should point out a lot has to do with how the tank's landscape is designed to provide plenty of refuge and diversion.
