    hey guys i did a water change of 10g on my 55g and my colony of Xenia looks like they are dying why is that i check the water and is testing ok.

    did your WC water match your DT SG and temp?

    Did you pour cold water into the DT so that it bombarded the Xenia?

    VERY important to make the water change with water that has the perfect parameters and temperature....

    Why do you think they are dying? are they closed up or melting?

    Probably a SG, PH or temp swing. Xeina are hardier than hardy - so I am not sure the water change is the culpret....maybe something else that occured at the same time as the water change?

    can you post a pic mine pulsing xenia will close up for about 5 mins after a water change and then they are pulsing like crazy right after. do you have a sump? i would reccomend if you do change the water threw that if you dont know how we are here to help you will not have to hit coral with water directly and its much smoother

    they look close up but really close up and they have been like that for like a day and a half.

    Did you use RO water, or tap?

    It could be copper, if it's not a SG, pH or temp swing.
