Wow, nem ate a hermit

    Wow.

    Just saw my sebae anemone eat a dime sized hermit in a nassarius vibex shell. Shell and all.

    Was it most likely already dying or did the nem sting it? It looked like hermit was trying to move but he looked very dazed.

    Is nem gonna spit the shell out eventually?

    Yes, it will spit out the shell.

    And it was most likely alive, but if it was getting stung by a Sebae anemone it was "dazed" as you said, but like that sting is powerful enough to damage the hermit pretty bad.

    I take it that means my nem is doing better. His tentacles are slowly getting longer and more narrow. He's also darkening, going from bleached white to slightly brown now.

    And as we now know, he can sting again. All is good in the circle of life.

    Nothing out of the ordinary. Anemones will eat anything that come their way.
