Is there any description as far as how many are required for what spread (1 for every 12 inches, 24 inches? Are they for 18 in or 24 in wide tanks, will these work for 36 inch deep tanks ect.)

The max is 16 modules per controller wirelessly. It does have to be plugged into at least one module to get power.Rails are ~12" each, so a total of 8 modules are able to be run on a single run to a 8ft span. It is not recommended to hang any units that is over 6 modules long to prevent to much pressure on the tank, hanging it the best method over 6-8

Generally it is one module for every 12 to 15 " of length. Each module comes with 100, 70 and 40 degree optics in the box, So 100 degree for 20" depth or less, 70 for up to 24" depth, and 40degree for over 24" depth.
The tighter optics will cut down on spread then. Once they hit the US, then I will have coverage charts. Width would be up to 18",
The modules can slide from to back 3.5 inches past center either way, and tilt 25 degree in any direction.

So a "Triple" would fit a 36" wide tank then?

    I have a 65 that is 36 x 18 wide x 24 high
