WOUND CARE- URGENT!!!!

    Please see previous post onthe blennie attack on my tang.

    She is critical- lying on her side.

    Should i rub aloe vera on her? ANYTHING? ANYONE?

    Get your tang into a quarantine tank as soon as possible.  Allow it to heal on its own in a stress free environment.  Some antibiotics as a prevention measure to avoid infection.

    Clean water, flow, oxygen, Aquaflavine for bactarial prevention and a Betadyne swab on the actual wound. The fish needs to be placed in a super clean hospital tank, while tranferring, swab the wound with betedyne, and place it into the hospital tank. Keep it dim, but still lite.

    FWIW, when tangs get to that state, it's usually a turn for the worse. I feel your pain, it truly sucks lossing a fish.

    SADNESS! Thanks for your help anyway.

    She was so beautiful. So gentle. never wanted to hurt anybody.

    The light would shine through the top of her eye and make a teardrop shaped spot of light under her eye. It always looked as though she was crying. :(

    I'm assuming you lost your tang. Very sorry to hear that.
