would this light work? light cycle?

    well i have an old 24watt 9 inch PC with a 50/50 bulb in it and i was wondering if i would get good growth from macro algea and mangrove plants from this light i also have clip on lights too. and also would it be good to leave it on for like 17 hours a day or just leave it on 24/7?

    they both do better under 6500k, for macro algae you can leave it on 24/7, but for mangroves you need a photo-period
