Hey everyone. I'm finally getting around to setting up the new tank at the new house.
The fuge is sectioned by glass that leaves about 2" at the top. There are no valleys or notches so water will just overflow like a waterfall. Would this be ok?[IMG]

    Yes IMO newguy420

the valleys or notches - or teeth are normally at the tank end of the set up
they are there primarily to stop larger things coming over the top and ending up in the sump whilst still allowing the water to flow in a controlled area

so the dividers in the sump dont need the additional teeth IME

What steve said is right on.

If you wanted you could take a thin peice of eggcrate and glue it to the top of the glass to trap anything coming out of your fuge.

only reason I have teeth on my refugium baffle is to keep snails from crawling over, and somehow they still manage to do so. They craw right up out of the water just to get to the other side. they are deficient in the parent department IMHO.
