Yes it would be enough light. Just be careful the odysea units are not known for high quality.

How many lighting threads do you have fish addict...

Stay away from Odysea unless you want a house fire.

That auction scares me for 3 reasons. First off, it's an Odyssea fixture. Secondly, it doesn't mention the inclusion of a ballast. Lastly, if a ballast was included, it makes no mention of quality or brand (I don't think Odyssea manufactures ballasts)--let alone whether it's a magnetic or electronic ballast.

I'm happy to answer these questions repeatedly. I'm not suggesting the newbies stop asking. But search around here, and you'll find these answers have been covered again and again.

Do yourself a favor, and if you MUST skimp, do it on something other than on protein skimmers or lighting. These two items must be high quality.

I know we get a lot of new folks who's first question is, "I've found this fixture (adding the link from ebay) asking, is this good/would it work/ will it serve my purposes?"

If your look around at the existing threads regarding inexpensive lighting, you'll find after the voluminous reading you're bound to find--that you get what you pay for.

Sure, the lights will light. And the color might even look halfway decent, but how long will it last? Will it be a fire hazard? Will it flake out once you put decent bulbs into it?

It's been a topic long discussed and beat into the ground. Buy quality and you won't ever be sorry you did.
