would 1/8th thick u channel be ok?

    would 1/8th thick u channel be ok for heatsink

    width 1 inch and height the same..looking at 1/8th thickness

    anyone?

    Regular extruded aluminum heatsinks usuall have 1/8" fins but the bottom where the LED's are installed is 1/4" so I would go with 3/16" U channel to pull as much heat away from the LED's as possible, make sure to have some kind of cooling fan as well.
