So my female O. Clown was acting funny tonight before I turned the light off.. she was sitting on the sand and moving slowly. It actually looks like shes cleaned the sand out if the way? I'll post pics ASAP. Once I turned the light off she swam off all normal.

Hopefully it just normal clown weirdness.

If the fish is eating, not breathing at the surface and has no visible spots she may be just fine.

Sometimes they makes theses depressions in the sand.

This is actually very normal for a clown and they seem to do it often. Not sure if its a breeding thing or a territorial display or both but I had a single Maroon clown and Occ./percula's that would do it alot.;)

Just to rule out a decline in water quality I would do the basic test, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. Check SG and temp as well.

Also look for clamped fins, that's almost always a sign something is a miss.

Looks like she may be claiming that territory from the Goby.

The goby was being nosy and kept bugging her. He swam away shortly after.

iv seen my percula do the same thing when they didnt have a nem to reside in. guess its their way of making a nest. clowns do the stupidest things at night if they dont have a nem to sleep in, from floating on the surface at the mercy of your PH streams to what you are probably going through.
