Resolved wormy looking things. ID please.

    well i found this worm looking things on my tank. they are white in color and they are shaped like this ===>> "@" is this a worm? coralline? or what can it be?

    this was the best picture i could get with my iphone lol:cheesy:

    They are most likely micro tube worms or feather dusters. Sign that you tank is doing well.

    They look like Spirorbid worms, in case you wanted the "technical" term for them :)

    Do you know why they appeared in my tank? Or how they appearance says your tank is doing good?

    I would have to assume they hitch-hiked on some live rock or other stuff that you got from an established system. They are very beneficial because they help filter the water, but on a very small scale. "Doing good" just means your tank is healthy enough to support them in such large numbers, if your tank was "doing bad" or otherwise just unhealthy I would imagine they wouldn't be thriving in such large numbers. But I doubt they will make a noticeable dent in your system as a whole(other then being all over the place), but every little bit helps.

    Spirorbid worms they are indeed. I had hundreds on the back of my tank and decided to get rid of them when I changed to the black background, and well.. their almost back in full force again 2 weeks later. lol.
