I was looking on Dr Foster and Smith's and I see they have quite a few different ones? Was wondering if anyone had any input on what brand to purchase or a specific one that might be a good choice for my 72 gallon tank, that I want to turn more into a reef tank?
    Thanks

Thanks lunatik but also what should I be testing for exactly because I see that the major reef test kits only have a few basic things? Then I see some products from Salifert that are sold singly but have tons of different things they are testing. So in other words what should I be testing for in a reef tank?

Reef; Cal, Mag, Dkh/Alk, Ph, Sg, and maybe Sr. and of course Nh3/4, No2, No3 and Po4. After about 6 months to a yr you really dont need to test for Nh3/4 or No2. I really like Salifert, I wish they had a complete kit. For now I have the API Reef test kit, Saltwater master kit and Salifert( dkh/alk and Mag)

I'm with most others on this, I use Salifert. I have tried many different test kits and these seem to be one of the best.

I have used Salifert for quite some time but have slowly been changing over to Elos because they are more accurate and easy to use.

Cool this is a great help because I was going to place an order on Dr. Foster tomorrow so I'll have to add a little more to that order.
Money = Nothing when it comes to the safety of you fish? Right lol?
I guess I'm going to be working a little extra next week
    Thanks for all your help

I use the API for everything except Mg, which is Red Sea. Maybe next time I'll try Salifert for Mg. I wish the API reef kit came with Mg instead of Nitrate, which already comes in their other saltwater test kit.

I wish that Salifert would make a complete kit, I would buy it.
