Im looking to upgrade my lighting on my 65g, 48x24x12 tank.

48 in. Nova Extreme T5 HO Light Fixture - (4) 54 watt lamps

Will I have a problem with this model if I have a cente bracket on my tank?

Thanks for giving this post a look.

    glass or plastic bracket?

i had a one tank with a glass bracket and it cracked because of my lighting(4x t5s)

I now have a plastic bracket that is doing fine.

It's a plastic center brace about 1/2 " wide. I think I should be ok, and I figure based on the width the shadow won't be too much of an issue.

Yeah, now that I look at it its over 1 1/2", I was just looking at the very top of it, but when it also entends underneath for the current stock lighting to sit on.
