will my tank suport a mandarin goby

    it a 12g tank he will be the only fish in it and i can see hundreds of pods all over the rock and glass i have 12 or 14 lbs of lr

    I really just dont think its feasible unless you put a MASSIVE refugium on there... they need about 75-100 lbs rock minimum to keep the pod population up :(

    Nope. Sorry but those hundred of pods would be devoured by a mandarin. you would need a lot more than 14 pounds of LR, more than you could ever fit in a 12gallon tank.

    To keep a mandarin, you need a constant supply of pods. Pods from live rocks without fuge will not support because it will deplete quickly.

    thats what i thought o well some day i will have one i dont have any fish now and im looking for something cool i can get any ideas?

    What about red scooter? But make sure it takes prepared food before you buy.

    if its a 12 g how about a clown goby? they are cool mine has quite the personality.

    that is a cool looking fish my sand is onlt 2in at the max maybie 3in in the corner is that ok

    Red scooter or clown goby? Either way, 2" sand is fine.
