I've had seven pounds of LR sitting in a five gallon bucket with a powerhead for some current in it. It has been in there for two or three days. Will it be alright till tomorrow when I get my tank plumbed and running? I don't want it to grow something or poison my tank before it's even running.

    Thanks.

You should be ok provided there is a heater in there. Worst case the die off on the rock will help kick off your cycle. The bacteria on the rock should be ok regardless.

Short version: You should be fine.

is it already cured? If not, you can leave it in the bucket for several weeks until it is cured. If it already is cured, then you should be ok, although you still may get a small cycle from it

Just makes sure that the water is warm enough to keep anything alive on the rock.

You might get some minimal die off but it should be fine and if you're starting up a new tank this die off will actually help get your cycle started.
