    Hi,
I have had a DSD for about 4 months now, and as i can see it has been accumulating small airbubbles in it. I have to bring the tank home in a about a week and i know it will be mixing the sand up quite a bit on the ride home. So i was wondering if this is going to release and gas that will hurt my fish?

The likelihood of a H2S zone in a 4 month old sandbed is virtually nill.

Regardless, you weren't planning on moving your tank with rock, sand, water, and fish in the tank were you?

    Sorta...

I usually leave about 10 gallons in and the main base rocks. Its only a 2 hour drive. I put the corals in individual bags and i put the fish in a 5 gallon poland spring container with a heater and a airpump running through a power invterer..i also keep heaters in the two buckets with the corals. any better ideas?

Whew!!! You had me worried there. :)

I personally would remove most of the LR and put it in a bucket with more of the water and only keep enough water to barely cover the sand. However, if you have had success with it this way in the past, I guess it can be done.
