Will Iodine dip kill Aiptasia?

    i just bought a thick finger leather coral and I noticed an aiptasia growing on the piece of LR its on. Will and iodine dip in lugol's solution kill the aiptasia? or should I dip that part of the rock in boiling water

    I just got a mushroom rock today at a big frag swap. There was a very small aiptasia on it (wouldn't have noticed but for a little star on it & was picking off). I injected it with lemon juice cuz I couldn't find the kalk powder someone gave me. It didn't like it much LOL.
