Hello, I was just wondering if Coral RX will kill any ich hitching a ride on an incoming coral. I would rather not QT every single little coral I get, LOL.

    Thanks, I appreciate it! :)

well, Ich only lives in fish and some in the water ya get the coral in to a small degree, so if ya do that and then a rinse you should be ok. But of course, always QT everything ever;)

Thanks, what would I rinse the coral in?

I know I should be QTing coral, but I just can't bring myself to do it. If I did I would have to wait for the whole lifecycle of ich. 6-8 weeks kills me especially if it is just a small frag, LOL.

    Thank you for your input!

Yeah, I was just worried about it hitchhiking on a coral when it is in its free swimming phase. :) It can't get it itself, however, I believe it can transport it.

Thanks for posting, I appreciate it!

yeah, you're only worry would be if its in the water or in the plug. Do your coralrx dip then rinse in tank water( in a bowl outside the tank) then place the coral. And I never QT my corals or inverts! BAD ADVICE;)

I think that is exactly what I will do for all incoming corals from now on. Thanks!

I don't really think ick is that big of a deal that you need to be worried about it on someone's coral... if you are getting frags for a tank thats that bad i would be owrried about far worse things
