So, I was thinking of adding a UV LED strip to my fixture to make the flourescents come out more in the SPS I have and the LPS and zoas. I am getting in two 12,000K T5 bulbs for my fixture and I also have a Blue LED strip. So, would a regular UV LED strip make the flourescents POP more than just regular Blue LEDs? I will probably end up keeping the Blue LEDs with the UV LEDs. What do you think? I am EXTREMELY limited with teh bulbs I can get for the T5's. That's why i was thinking a UV LED strip would help a lot with the flourescents of the corals?

The UV strip will help a little more than the blue with the fluorescing colors since it has more light that causes the corals to fluoresce. It will help with all colors though.

Go with the UV for the color. You have enough PAR from the T5 and blue led.

Will a purple LED strip work just as good as a UV strip?? Or is purple and Uv basically the same?

99% of the "UV" leds you see aren't true UV, but actually in the violet spectrum 400-420 I believe. UV is sub 400. For instance my rapidled UV's are actually just violet.

I don't think so. I believe it is a combination of magenta and royal blue.
