why polyps dont come out consistently ?

    my polyps dont come out consistently anyone know why i do tests daily and its at 8.0-8.2-3 temperature is at 80...

    That is just pH. What are your ammo, dKH, nitrite, and nitrate readings?

    Could be anything honestly.

    My polyps are open all day, and sometimes partly through the night, if yours are not opening..There may be something wrong with your params.

    Post your Ammonia,nitrate,nitrite and the others

    In addition to the above parameters, what species of corals are you speaking of? Some only polyp out at night. Some are recently collected and in time, will polyp out during the day. Some are polyped out 99% of the time. Some will polyp out anytime they smell food in the water (chemoreception).

    Based of another of the OPs threads, I'd say it's the ammonia/nitrite burning them...
