I watched a video on emerald crabs helping to rid the tank of bubble algae. Now I need something to rid the tank of emerald crabs!!

So far they've eaten my xenia (probably a good thing..) my clam has a nip and a toadstool leather was so badly eaten he didn't come out for a month...

The old adage is really true (no matter what you hear) ANYTHING WITH A CLAW DOESN'T BELONG IN A REEF TANK.

I started with four , one croaked and I plucked one out. That leaves me two of the little *&@3%%$3 s.... wish me luck catching them they are fast!!

maybe make a crab trap.. maybe take a 2liter plastic bottle cut the top of of it. flip the top around and slide it into the other end of the cut bottle. put some food (shrimp, silversides, etc) inside.. if the crab crawls into the funnel to get the food, it will be hard to get out.

pop bottle and some raw shrimp inside of it- place it over night- in the morning, crabs no more. But are you sure your crabs are an issue I have several- and no problems. Matter of fact my carpet ate one of them the other day- poor fellow. Most crabs are not to smart- wander into the death machine- u become dinner. :)

    I'll take em :)

I've never had any crabs nip at my corals, even emeralds.
