    there are a few on one rock. im not talking about kalkwasser just kalk paste for home stuff, here ill get a pic in a second. just want to make sure were on the same page.

    what im talking about is caulk paste, heres a pic. its says it has silicone and acrylic. but im not sure if its ok or not.

    oooohhhh caulk paste not kalk paste. LOL that's a whole different question. I would think that would stay on the rock for a long time. And not be very pretty to look at.

    Ah, two different things. Kalk is not caulk which is why they're not spelled the same :D

    DO NOT use that in your fish tank.

    caulk, for home stuff, is said more like callK

    kalk is said more like cowlK

    i guess. maybe that's just my texan self talking.


    anyway, do not put that caulk in your tank. you want pickling lime. kalwasser is kalk paste... just the paste has a lot less water in it ;)

    it can also be tricky to find at the store.


    look for where they sell EMPTY jars. I wasn't even aware of this until I was searching for pickling lime myself. It's usually deep in the grocery store down that one aisle in the back nobody has ever been down :p


    apparently in this day and age people still jar their own food. it'll be in that section.

    I have found, when asking for help at the store, it's better to ask where are the empty jars and bottling supplies than it is to ask where the pickling lime is... but that might just be in my area...
