    Can some one tell me what this little fella is. I caught him pickng a small chunk out of my leather coral once but not seen him doing it since.

    Also new to the forum.

    It looks like a green emerald crab. Its supposed to only eat algae. Its supposed to be reef safe. I have 4 of them in mine and they never touched any corals. Yours was nippin at a leather? Or was it possibly pickin algae off of it?

    you will find he was going for the algea near your coral, they are nearly the only crab you can have in a reef

    I've got to say he is a gratelittle eater always scoffing but just got a bit worried when i saw him pulling at the coral

    Thanks for that. He looks mlike the fella i the pictures although mine is more gray then green
