I have LED moonlights. They bring out the florescent colors in corals better than t5's or halides and they also produce shimmer. LED's are great! Less power onsumption, the only thing I dont know is how PAR is compared to T5's M.H.)

I have been running my leds for about 2 years now. I dont know about the par numbers but I can place an acro just about anywhere in my 90 and have it do really well. I wll post some pics when I get home.

Right now, I'd only be interested in using LEDs as accent lighting, to bring out coral colour really nicely, with the main lights being halides. You can get a lovely colour balance, whilst still getting great growth that way.
