I have a 65 gallon with a trigger system cy30 sump. Tank has been up for 4 months now. Started off with 70lbs BRS Eco safe dry rock. 70lbs argonite dead sand. Cycled for 9 weeks. Add small cuc. Added a couple of lps, shroom and a small colony of zoas. Recently add birdnest frag and a monticap. Water was crystal clear then about 5 days ago got really cloudy. Almost a bright white kinda like fog. All params are in line. Sal.1.025 cal 433 alk10.5 mag 1360 ph 7.8 phos 0 nitrates 0 Amon. 0 Could this be a bacterial bloom? If so how long does it last? Did a 30% WC no change at all. Using rodi water. Any advice will help. Thanks in advance. Oh two clowns and a chromosome for live stock.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Sounds like it.

You need to check ammonia, nitrite... levels.

Run some new carbon as well.

Are you dosing the tank with anything? Running bio-pellets?

Does the water have an odor?

Running carbon (1cup) in a mesh bag. Dosing BRS 2 part. 1ml cal every other day. 1ml all 3days a week. Water has a slight odor.

So this does not look like Calcium precipitated out?

Have any larger inverts died lately?

My big concern is I had a tank crash from a bacterial bloom once, the oxygen content of the tank dropped at night and I lost all my fish.

Best thing you can do is find the cause if possible, usually decaying organic matter.
Keep doing water changes, nothing dramatic unless it's called for.
    Run carbon.
Add some supplemental O2 source if you are not running a skimmer. Skim wet.

Sometimes algae blooms can look like bacterial blooms as well.

Had a cleaner shrimp die about 4weeks ago. Couldn't find him among the rock work. Could this be the culprit?

I doubt it. And since you started with dry base rock die off did not initiate it either.

As long as Ammonia stays undetectable you're probably ok.

Put up an image if possible.

I dose BRS 2 part as well and never had an issue. Ca precipitating out looks like a fine snow. But since this is a relatively new tank you really do not need to dose so you might want to give that rest for a week and see if the issue resolves.
