Ok, I have both & want to install one of them. I have tried to read up on this & getting nowhere. Which one is better for reef or it just preference???

    Thanks,

moon lights are all preference, dun dun dun!

I'm not sure about this but blue may make coral flores more, but white looks more natural probably.

I have always had blue but I think I want to try white next.

When I had moonlights they were white. I loved them. The gentle shimmer effect without making the corals really glow was nice. Looked very natural and pleasant.

As previously stated, it is really personal preference.

well I had to vote "I dont have moonlights" simply because I dont have moonlights

but if I did have, Im sure I would have blue ones, because I like the look of corals that glow under just actinics and would appreciate seeing that for longer periods into the evening

I have white over my 90, blue over my 120.

The white is more drastic. The shimmer and the Darks and whites in the tank.... Its almost more defining IMO. then the blue of the rock structure.

Where the blue to me is more calming to me. and dont give off as much of a shimmer effect.

I personally prefer a bit of the flores in the corals But either way they are just for preference really. I have seen a few peoples tanks that have them set up to the moons phases. :) Thats pretty neat.

I have blue that came with the tank. I can't give a preference yet because the tank just got set up today (finally! yay!) LOL.

Blues look like actinics on and white looks like a dull white bulb is on. The only way to get a good idea of what they look like is via video. My tank doesn't have white on them right now so I can't take a video.
