Tank is a still cycling ....about 10 days in now, and starting to see some white spots on the rocks, I have read till my eyes are sore.....and need some advise...I just took a pic of the rock that seems to have the most white on it ...and it it gradually getting worse.

What I have read is ....Calcium ( no test yet for this...Kit arriving Thursday ) or dying spots of previous coral on the rock??

    LR history :

40 lbs LR in 90 gal tank still cycling
LR was in this tank from previous owner ( who I found out was running copper in it ) Srry turbo's !
    Salinity is 1.024 / PH 8.3 / Temp 81

LR was clean and smelled good when I originally put it into tank

    Any suggestions??

Aslo I got a smoking deal on 70 Lbs LR from Craigslist 100.00 for all and am picking that up today, so will be adding it if its in good shape..considering nuking it per previous reading before i put it in....however the tank is still in the beginning stages of cycling..soooo?

Man I love this stuff !!

I agree with LCP, having just started my tank up 2 months ago, I saw the same thing. The coralline had a bit of die off but, this is normal.

I have bought live rock a few times and every time I have had the same thing. Its just a bit of die off. I just bought a 67 lb rock and it went through the same thing.

Yup, that looks like decaying organic material. siphon like you've never siphoned before.
