white spongy stringy stuff after WC

    i just did a wc and added sand and have had my lights off for 2 days to fight back the gha but today i turned on my lights and most of my LR is covered with this white small but stringy algae looking junk... any ideas what this is and why?

    Sorry pic is low quality and glass is slimey. hopefully you or someone else will have enough experience to understand or maybe have an idea what this could be.
    Stuff in question is on nearly everything except what's alive.

    its a greyish white and stringy almost maybe a sponge or filament type algae

    It maybe a bacterial bloom after disturbing the sand bed.

    i'll keep a close eye on it and do another wc next wednesday or friday
