white powder growing?

    hei guys...
    my live rocks seems to get "white powder" thingy on the top...
    wat is it? all parameters are fine...fish and corals are both fine...

    its probably just dust, grindings from the rock, due to invert activity? do you have snails, crabs etc

    it may even be baby snails -

    pictures as always would help

    Pic please!!!! It sounds like what I have in my tank! I was watching mine (which looks like a mini sand slide) it is comming from some sort of worm or invert in the LR. Pretty cool to see the different tag-alongs go to work. But could tell if I saw a pic, Thanks 50JumpChump

    i dnt hav ne inverts... dat i no of....
    and trelane i dnt chek my calcium level... i jst used iodine and trace elements supplements...

    what type of tank do you have Fish only or reef.
    if you have FO you shouldn't need to dose regularly. do you do water changes?

    i have two tangs, 2 soft coral and live rock... and i jst purchased a plate coral long tentacles todai... so from now on im gona hv to put calcium ryt?
    yep i do 20 percent bi weekly....
