white mouth on clown beauty angel

    Hey guys, I bought a clown beauty at the LFS a few days ago, he hasn't been eating since i bought him (sea weed, frozen, pellet, flake) this morning i saw him and it looks like he has a white fungus on his mouth. I called the LFS and they said they had some chemical that i can put into the tank and it would be gone in a couple weeks. Should i trust him? what should i do? get rid of the fish before it infects the others? thanks!

    I am at work right now. he has no other spots on him, its just that his mouth is white and fuzzy

    first off you should definatly isolate it in a qurintine tank
    then mix garlic in his food thats a good way to get it to eat
    curing wise though im not sure
    so IMHO isolate it in a qurintine tank, get it to feed with garlic, do a water change in the main tank, and then just hope for the best

    Do you mean a coral beauty by chance? Not sure on the white fungus but I agree to QT the fish. It may be too late to keep others from being infected but the sooner the better.

    I would do any treating in QT not in DT btw

    its a CORAL BEAUTY, sorry...and yea i will do a water change in the main tank. the thing is I dont have a quarantine tank so i am screwed

    I am having such a hard time getting the fish in the net. it just hides under rocks...what can i do?

    you could buy a fish trap from your LFS or you can make your own using a water bottle
