I have had a white mold-type looking blanket on part of one of my rocks now for a while. It seems to have come into my aquarium via some orange zooanthids which it preceded to engulf and starve? if I look closely it is starting to grow vertical extensions (used to be flat) and is slowly spreading. What can this be and how to I get rid of it?

Looks like a sponge to me. Excellent filter feeders.

Probably sponge as mentioned. Is that a bristle worm or a star's leg? looks large.
