White live sand???

    Ok i have a 72 gallon bow front tank and want to go with a shallow bed probably 1.5 to 2 inches. However i want white sand and have not been able to find white live sand..Does it exsist. I like the look of the white sand but want the benefits of live sand. If it doesnt exsist could i do 40lbs of each. put the live on bottom with the white on top? I have a feeling that wouldnt work.

    live sand usually isn't that important if you get live rock.
    i would just buy your regular white sand

    it's as white as you're going to find

    I'd say one 40# bag and should give you 1.5-2" but if you're doing a fuge too you might also want to get a 20# and use what you need in the fuge and put the rest into the tank

    I have live white aragonite sand in my tank. I really like the look of it. I have a 90 gallon tank and it took around 100lbs to get a 3" bed.

    you can kind of see it in this pic.
