white line on black tang

    i went to my lfs and there is a guy wh wrote a book or something name is lance he informed me that the line on head is a scar or he hit him self but the fish being a little white is latirol line disease or how ever you spell it. But I realy dont know buch about that the lines have goten better but he is getting a little white on the belly I will put updated pics when i get home.

    When you say your tang is "eating", what is he eating? Do you give him any marine macroalgae to graze on? The picture does look like the beginning of HLLE. I have had a number of Tangs which came from the LFS with this condition and it reversed quickly when there was an ample supply of marine algae to constantly graze on. Red Graciliara works very well.

    just a little update it was a scratch nothing big the fish is doing great and eating and pooping like a pig. thanks for the help I guess I over reacted lol.
