    can someone id this white blob looking thing on a torch? its all over my fuge area and around my pumps. is it harmful?

    thats what i thought too, just seems too big and too defined for it to not be a outbreak of them in the tank!

    wow thanks for a the feedback guys! so quick is it ok to have it all over the walls in the fuge area? its very tiny in there but thats the biggest guy in the display, is there any way to get rid of it? and not reproduce anymore?

    yup thats what its called pineapple sponge, looks exactly like that lol you guys are so helpfful!

    You could remove it manually, scraping it off the base of the torch if you wanted for aesthetic reasons
    but they are pretty harmless and many of us have plenty in our set ups, most remaining out of sight until you take something out the clean, and you find loads of them
