They started out with just 4 dots on the LR. Now there are 11 on the LR, a bunch on my turbo snails, and tons on my heater. They multiply like crazy, and I'm going nuts here.

On LFS told me that it was Calcium deposits, another told me that they were barnacles. :-/

Sorry to say but I have no clue, can you get a close upon one? I would say a form of algae but the fact they are on your snails I find odd. Do they move or just stay in place? Trust me I know how you are feeling, I have a syringe and poison on it way to wipe out a pesky invader. But unlike you I had something to start my search with. Maybe do a search on Reef Tank Pest on all the search engines?

They stay still. They can easily be pushed off the heater, they are pretty solid. The ones on the snails are a little harder to take off, maybe because we took that one off out side of the water, we literally had to tear it off with a knife.

    Thanks for all your help.

Let me tell you that it does give a bad impression the first time you see all those eggs and how quickly they keep appearing. Kinda makes you think that it's the "End of the World" for your tank. :-X
