I am partial to the Metal Halide & T5 combo myself.
I assume this is for a reef tank. ;) :)
    What kind of corals?

6 t5ho bulbs (better choice for a 75 gal tank, but have no shimmer lines) or 2X 150, 175, or 250 watt halides. (either will "work" but preferably 175 and up for lps and sps corals in a 75 gal).

They are oddyssea, and they have a mixed reputaion. i know that replacing they're fans is recommended and also getting different bulbs then the ones that are included.

Look at the sellers feed back. Doesn't look like they have very good customer service

I would go with MH with a supplement lighting. You really need to research what type of coral you want to keep. I don't mean to be blunt. You will go through many stages of your aquarium before you will get pretty colours. Lighting is only 1 factor, all be it an important one.

So I would think about 250W MH with either T5 or VHO(Very High output) supplements.

    That's just my opinion
