This whole subject is hit or miss. I do not recommend any of the marine land ones. I have 4 heaters. I started with the stealth ones, (all plastic one) was in a mixing tank got to 101deg.
The other was a breeding tank and killed all my fry. So I called marineland they could not do any thing about my baby fish but they said they would replace all the heaters with there glass ones what are susposed to be good........ya no I have had nothing but more problems. I am tagging along as I am looking for new heaters

I believe that all the Marineland Stealth heaters were recalled because they were consistently failing and crashing tanks.

I have the Finnex HMO and have been very pleased with it. Titanium body so I won't crack it if I accidentally bump it. Also, they are pretty compact in size so they are easy to find a place for. It has been consistent and stable with the tank temp. I would recommend the Finnex HMO to anyone. I found mine at reasonable price at Bulk Reef Supply,

I have an Aqueon Pro heater which is all plastic (also comes with a lifetime warranty) and a Hydor Theo and love them both and have not had any problems with either one of them.

+1 to this. I have a finnex titanium with the external digital thermostat and temp probe. Well worth the money and holds the temp rock solid. The titanium element is bulletproof as well. I will never own anything else again.

Sounds like finnex may be the way to go
