From everyones input on my particular situation, being on a tight budget. It was recommended that I buy mostly base rock and seed it with a few pieces of live rock.

However I was told to put those pieces towars the bottom. why? Is it because they won't look as nice?

Alos I cant find the tread but a member said that flat self pieces are better than pourus rounder pieces/ is this so?

I guess what im getting at is this.

My lfs has nice looking colorful live rock but has very boring looking (as far as shape a texture) looking dry rock.

Where can I get some nice looking dry rock.
And what is better flat pieces or pouros pieces? thanks

Please direct me somwhere I can pick up some nice pieces of dry rock for under $5.99ib

marcorocks.com and reefcleaners.org both are pretty comparable in price and quality. Marco rocks has some higher end base rock reefcleaners doesn't carry, but its more expensive.

I have only purchased from reef cleaners so I can only vouch for their great customer service and quality products.

I've also heard great things about the rock from marcorocks and bulk reef supply.
