where is the expire date on api marine test kit?

i cant find the expire date on my api liquid marine test kit?

 

ah just noticed it states this lot number on the bottles 27a0709

is it still ok to use?

 

Well, would you eat food that is 8 months past its expiry date?

 

its not food its a water test kit

 

Ha, good point. I wouldn't eat it before the expiration date either. The kits can become inaccurate after they expire.

 

I thought 07-09 is the date test was made. should be good for 1 year = 07-2010

so good for 3 years+. which I dont see anyone having a reef tank making a test kit last more than 1 year. I got about 9 months out of my api reef master kit.. calcium,dkh, and nitrate went out in that order.. I still have a few drops left from my api ph test from 1998.. still works.

once your tank becomes stable, you will not be testing as much.
