Resolved where in the world is my Engineer Goby?????

    i put some sand first, then some rock then the rest of the sand. ( i did that so i wouldnt scratch the glass.

    one goby is up and about, but my "eel like goby is the one missing" ( engineer goby right? ) just in case.

    so we all agree under substrate?....any other suggestions?.....

    mine digs out all of the sand from under my lr kinda irritates me making a mess of the substrate no rock slides yet and he is about 3-4 inches long but i will be upgrading to a 110g in januay yahhh

    I'm going to vote for stuck under a rock if he doesn't come out soon. Their notorious for digging under the rocks and causing havoc.

    They grow really really fast too. Mine went for that little 2" fish to about 10" in 8 months.
    Someone on here said theirs is 18". Those max length things are not always accurate.

    Engineer gobies can disappear for days or even a week. They spend most of their time in the sand and rocks digging tunnels as was previously stated. Not only will it get too big for a 20g, have you seen pics of them with their adult coloration? I personally think they are ugly.

    You will want to find him so you can dig your rocks down to the glass. It will eventually topple your rockwork if you don't.

    They are sand sifters, and they aren't actually gobies. He's in the sand bed somewhere most likely.

    its a 29g. will he be to big for a 150? cuz i have a 150 cycling right now.
