When can i add cleaner shrimp?

They will eat just about anything. They pretty much just run out and grab whatever the fish miss during feeding. I hand feed mine flake on occasion as well.

 

My scarlet skunk cleaner really only goes after fish food the clown doesnt eat. once a week or so ill spot feed him a small amount of mysis shrimp. i rarely see him going after algae. Beware of peppermint, i got unlucky and mine went after some of my zoas! I had to go trade it in for a new one!

Its rare, some will never go after them. I just happened to be one of the few unlucky ones. My LFS gave me different smaller peppermint so ill let ya know if this one does the same thing

there pretty hardy...you will like them, the cleaners are active and will crawl on your hand to clean it. its kinda cool

 

that's the main reason why i like the shrimp, i want them to crawl on my hand
