naww, ive been to plenty of conerts with openers being japanese metalcore bands, and i cant stand them haha no offense. Im more into the Breaking Benjamin, Atreyu, A7X and Bullet for my Valentine type of genre

a little reggae and chill on the side evens it out perfectly

    teenager in the late 70s

The Clash, The Pistols and from the USA the Ramones and the New York Dolls where amongst my favourite

when Punk lots its mass appeal - fashions changed, Ska and Two tone was next in line in UK and neither had any appeal at that time for me, so I looked to metal - Iron Maiden became my favourite

Metallica are probably the band whose music I have paid the most for in terms of CDS or down loads

now days - Green Day, Sum 41, Blink 182 - yeah I know - sorry

I like most Japanese incarnations of genres. They get way more into it and dedicated than most band's I've been to in the states. Funny how I saw a lot of American bands that stunk as openers when I was in Japan for my junior year as an exchange student. I'm not to keen on what my music guru dubs "The Hot Topic Generation" bands like Atreyu and BB. Dif'rent stroks

I listen to all of the above, no need to appologize. I religiously listen to Marky Ramone's radio show on satellite radio. Gotta love Rotten for still being the cantankerous diva he's always been!

Right now without a doubt my favorite song is Randy Newman's Short People. Although before my time I heard this song and it became an instant favorite. If you want to hear a very funny song that is so politically incorrect give this a listen.

    This was a great thread.

Here's a cut and paste of my response there:

Bob Dylan, Floyd, Zeppelin, Stones, STP, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Elton John, Elvis Costello, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Goo Goo Dolls, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Beatles, Macy Gray, Queen, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Doors, Steely Dan, Police, Who, Tool, Tracy Chapman, Van Halen, to name a few. And forgot to mention Camper Van Beethoven!

Can't stomach Hip Hop or Opera. Don't care for country, either. Love classical.
