Urgent Whats wrong with my tank

    It its not unusual to have these issue at 6 months.
    What is currently in your tank in terms of fish, inverts and coral?
    Also acclimation of inverts such as crabs needs to be much slower that fish or coral
    I would float the bag to acclimate to temp then open the bag and add tank water slowly over about half an hour.

    also i receantly when to vietnam on a 2 week vaction so i am guessing that the person that was taking care of my tank while i was gone could of over feed

    That could contribute to an algae issue for sure.
    What size is the tank?

    Relating to this question... How much flow do you have in your tank?

    You will notice cyano growing more if you dont have a high enough turn over rate. Also, I looked at your pictures and the color spectrum on your bulbs looks a little out of whack. What kind of lights/bulbs do you have and what are the kelvin ratings? Lower kelvin ratings seem to promote nuisance algae growth.

    It could be a combination of these with the over feeding / phosphate problems... or just a new reef slowly maturing.

    Just edited my question to ask about the lights too, see above.

    What is the wave maker rated at (gph)??
    and..what size is your tank.

    also another thing that should be stated is that my only filtration is a marineland 200 power filter and i dont have a protien skimmer
