Whats wrong with my Acan?

The "bubble" has been there for a couple months. I have considered popping it...

I have seen this 3-4 times on other forums. No one ever has an explanation.

One person however was running a really high magnesium to treat Bryopsis, brought the level down and the coral eventually went back to normal.

I would not pop it.

Will be interesting to see if someone else knows, as I posted no one has ever been able to explain it. A whole lot of theories. Last thread I saw with that same type of growth was all over Blastos.

Sorry I cant help to identify whats wrong but I agree with Coralline with not popping it, I think that would open up the door for an infection???
Have you been dosing anything in particular?

 

I have always been under the impression when LPS "bubble" like this, they're getting too much light.

 

The light is possible except i have it on te sand bed and only inchs from anoter Acan without this issue. I have doses calcium 3 time an magnesium once since I have owned it

 

Looks like it has a clot somewhere inside lol.
