I purchased this nice frag of two different zoas for $15 the other day and I'm not sure what the third corals is that's growing with them. The awesome thing about this frag that you can't see from the pic is that the bottom of the rock is completely covered with zoas as well since it's always been on egg crate. Anyone have any ideas as to what the third coral is, the brown and white speckled thing?

I know, I couldn't believe the price either. I asked the guy and said "well the sign says small frags $7, large frags $15 and this one is the biggest one in there so I guess that makes it a large frag."

Thanks guys, so Monti it is. Will it try to encrust more over the rock or grow out and away from the rock?

    +1 to this

It's appears to be purple porites! Which is considered rare! Nice score! Given the right conditions that stuff will spread and encrust far and wide.
